Why people choose four years as a term for presidency? In ancient times, 3 was counted as the largest number, beyond 3 was not imaginable. We now have progressed only one step-from 3 to 4, as 5 represents the middle class that is hard for anyone to grasp.
In Chinese language, 4 sounds like "death", meaning an end, fourth year means a year of maturity. Therefore a a 4-year term is already enough for a president to mature on the position and it is the time to give up the position to the successor.
